After fifteen years in New Orleans, Melanie Bledsoe is practically a native. She has lived in or explored every nook and cranny of the city since moving from New York City, where she studied psychology, anthropology, and studio art at Queens College, CUNY.

As an experienced real estate professional, Melanie brings a unique combination of business savvy, dedication, and creativity that allows her clients to be fully informed and supported throughout the process of buying or selling property. She has real estate experience in every area of Orleans and Jefferson Parishes; with all types of properties, including historic homes, luxury condos, and starter homes; and with all types of clients, from first-time home buyers to seasoned investors. When not actively working for a client, she seeks out continuing education classes above and beyond state requirements to ensure the highest level of expertise. Melanie is passionate about providing her clients with easy communication and a well-curated experience.

Melanie strongly believes in the importance of community. She helps manage a number of local organizations, including the “Give Like a Mother” donation group and “Homeschooling Heroes,” a platform for local homeschooling families. Melanie homeschools her tween, and both are involved in local theatre programs including JPAS and The Company. Melanie was nominated for “Best Actress in a Play” at The Company’s 2022 gala. Melanie has spent time as a youth mentor, has taught no-cost yoga classes for children, and is currently co-creating a volunteer group for local youth musicians to perform for nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Melanie, along with her husband and child, have fostered kittens and participated in their neighborhood’s trap-neuter-release program for strays.

In her free time, Melanie enjoys archery, hiking, yoga, and board games or movie marathons with her family at their home in Metairie. You can also find her lost in a book, curled up with one or more of their rescued cats, dog, or Petrie the conure.
